1. Stately Home
If your dream is to tie the knot in a grand stately home in south Wales, head to Manor Park Hotel. It’s such a flexible entertaining space with plenty of perfect picture opportunities. It has been established as a wedding venue for over 25 years and can cater from 50 to 150 people!
2. Castle
Head to Barry Island for your dreamy castle wedding at Fonmon Castle. The beautiful 800 year old fortress is just 25 minutes from Cardiff and offers exclusive use. You could even have a marquee wedding in the grounds of this magnificent place.
3. Woodland
South Wales has the perfect location for a woodland wedding – Fairyhill by Oldwalls. It features the Kaleidoskope, a magnificent glass structure to host your wedding in, bedrooms, manicured lawns and beautiful surrounding woodland of course.

4. Coastal
This coastal wedding venue is hard to beat – please check out Oldwalls Gower if you’re looking to get married by the seaside. 5. Golf Resort
Nestled within 650 acres of countryside yet only minutes from the M4, Vale Resort is beautiful and practical for your wedding. You’ll have it exclusively with a red carpet on arrival along with a glass of Prosecco followed by a three course meal for you and your guests to enjoy.
6. Hotel
For more of a modern wedding, why not try the four star luxury Park Plaza Hotel in the heart of Cardiff? There are many wedding packages available and exceptional cuisine provided by the award-winning team. Despite being in the city centre, you can also enjoy woodland views like this from this venue.
7. Orangery
There aren’t many venues in the country let alone South Wales that can rival ‘The Orangery’ in the orangery category of wedding venues. This beautiful, bright space is perfect for weddings and it’s a part of an 18th century mansion, perfect for photos and a real contrast to the modern interiors of the orangery.
8. Barn
The King Arthur Hotel isn’t a barn but its interiors are reminiscent of one with exposed oak beams, fairy lights and landscaped gardens. There is on site accommodation too including a bridal suite and a cottage.
9. Historic
Just slightly further north in the Brecon Beacons, you’ll find Porthmawr Country House in Crickhowell. This beautiful 15th century fortified manor hosts weddings and is a fantastic venue with brilliant catering options and landscaped grounds. If you’re looking for a historic venue, this is definitely one to consider with an incredible story.
10. Unusual
South Wales is actually filled with quite a few weird and wonderful wedding venues, but our favourite has to be the West Usk Lighthouse in Wentloog. It’s perfect for an intimate wedding with space for 23 guests and offers three different packages. It’s very affordable and you get to tie the knot in a lighthouse!
