Or you could opt for something a little more classic. Built in the 1800s, the Belgrave Rooms has a licensed chapel within with extensively carved pillars. What you get with an older, more classic venue is more experience in hosting weddings and a more classically beautiful style. This one even comes with a wedding coordinator!

3. Modern: Goosedale

What’s better than an old barn full of character and charm? A new one that has retained the charm whilst being purpose built for weddings in mind, making it super practical and incredibly beautiful. Goosedale in Nottingham is a beautiful modern barn with stunning views across the surrounding countryside.

4. Classic: Bestwood Lodge Hotel

This stunning Victorian country house in Bestwood Lodge Country Park offers all inclusive weddings for up to 150 guests. It’s in a romantic location and features an on site gothic chapel. Another great benefit to traditional venues is that they’re usually surrounded by acres of parkland and large in size.

5. Modern: Gusto

This beautiful modern Italian restaurant is flooded with natural light and can cater for 20 to 100 guests making it an ideal location for a more intimate affair. 6. Classic: Ye Olde Bell Hotel

A 17th century coaching inn with a spa, this intriguing venue seems to combine modernity with its classical style. It has an AA Rosette for its kitchen with its many years of experience, there are 59 rooms for guests to stay in after the party, and there’s a handcrafted oak pavilion and stylish garden bar for outdoor weddings too. If you really can’t decide between beautiful classic spaces and practical modern ones, going somewhere in between like with this venue is a great idea.

And finally, one for sport lovers. The cricket club in Nottingham has been around since about 1837. It has a beautiful romance story behind it and it’s just a beautiful setting for a wedding. They can host up to 200 people for your evening reception!
