There are so many different kinds of entertainment you can have at your wedding. UKbride has collated a list of 20 that we think will really add something to your big day!
1. Singer
Obviously we had to include wedding singers to this list! They can be part of pretty much any part of your wedding day from walking down the aisle to the first dance.

2. Disc Jockey
You may also want to have a DJ to carry on the party till the early hours. Many DJs come with their own lighting and party setup too and many allow you to make you and your guests to make your own song requests.

3. Band
A wedding singer is lovely, but later on in the evening, you may want a little more music. A wedding band can perform hit tunes, pop songs, rock hits and all the cheesy songs in between too. For song suggestions, read our article on the 200 best wedding songs to play of all time.

4. Big Band
Perhaps you want something a little more traditional and a little more grand! Why not have a big swing band perform on the day? It will feel like you’re contestants in Strictly Come Dancing and the formality makes it feel very special!

5. Silent Disco
Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it! A silent disco is the most fun and better for elderly relatives who may not want the music so loud. It also means you can carry on the party till later as there is a lot less noise pollution for the surrounding neighbourhood or residents at your venue.

6. Magician
Everyone loves a bit of magic! Having a magician at your wedding just adds a little more excitement to the party and will make your guests go ‘wow!’ Plus, you need wedding pictures like the ones you get with magicians…

7. Musician
This can be anything from a harpist, violinist, pianist, guitarist or even a saxophonist. It’s nice just to have a bit of background music sometimes, so having a solo musician performing in the church or at the ceremony as guests arrive is nice touch.

8. Pyrotechnician
What is more entertaining than a firework display choreographed by professional pyrotechnicians?! UKbride has plenty of firework specialists to cater for your wedding day needs, and why would you not want an incredible firework display.

9. Surprise Wedding Singers/Waiters
It is a little bit of an odd form of wedding entertainment, but tremendously popular nonetheless. Have some undercover surprise wedding singers acting as waiters and waitresses to really surprise your guests! This might even be something you could surprise your partner with…

10. Photo Booth
Some photographers even offer this service. It’s a form of entertainment that doesn’t rely on a professional, allows guests to use as they wish and is easy for guests to participate in. You also get some extra wedding photos to treasure. What’s not to love?

11. Puppets and Balloon Twisting
This is a fun thing if you’ve got kids attending the wedding or if you just want something really different! It’s a great idea especially if you’ve got a circus or carnival theme and it’s sure to entertain the guests.

12. Bouncy Castles
Who says you can’t have a super fun bouncy castle on your wedding day? Let your guests let their hair down with a classy castle. This is another fun idea for a carnival or festival-themed day inside and outside a venue.

13. Outdoor Games
Sticking on the festival theme, why not set up little DIY wedding games for guests to take part in? Simple idea, keeps guests entertained and you get great wedding photos like this one…

14. Speech Writer
The main standard ‘entertaining’ element of a wedding is when it comes to doing the speeches. Get your guests laughing out loud, enjoying a really memorable and entertaining moment with a professional speech writer – you have enough to worry about with planning a wedding so take the stress of organising the speech!

15. Artists/Caricaturists
Caricaturists are hilarious and they will certainly keep your guests entertained! They double up as wedding favours too with something for everyone to take home with them at the end of the night. For a classier spin on things, get a professional artist to attend and document the day.

16. Casino
It’s a wedding! Why not have a full-scale casino on the day? It’ll put a Vegas spin on the day and it’s guaranteed to entertain lots of your guests with a huge variety of what they are able to play.

16. Dance Group or Dance Lessons
Why can’t YOU be the entertainment? Instead of a simple side-to-side first dance, hire a professional to give you dance lessons and really put on a Strictly show to impress! Or hire a dance group to put on a dance show too.

17. Boat Rides
Ok, so this is technically under the ‘transport’ category, but boat rides are thoroughly entertaining, especially with ample Champagne! If you’re by a lake that you don’t really need to go across to get to your reception venue, go on it anyway as an exciting break in the day!

18. Fairground Rides
It may be a little pricey or it may be part of your venue anyway! Some weddings take place in fairgrounds and you can hire carousels for weddings sometimes! We love this idea.

19. Photographer
This isn’t really classed as entertainment but actually, being creative with your wedding photographer can provide lots of entertainment for guests too from setting flares off to holding sparklers.

20. Food and Drink!
They say money can’t buy happiness but money can buy food so…it kind of can. You may argue this isn’t exactly entertaining but in our books, having chocolate fountains, ‘pimp your Prosecco’ stations, snack tables and candy floss spinners will keep your guests entertained for ages! We especially love this idea below – wedding crepes!
