The city of Leeds is a thriving place full of people and exciting events and activities. It’s a great place to visit and a great place to get married, but don’t leave out the surrounding towns when on the search for your wedding venue in Leeds! We have one or two from each lovely location…
1. Leeds
Obviously, starting with the city of Leeds itself, there are hundreds to choose from. Just head over to the Leeds venue page and see for yourself. One of our favourites from the city has to be this beautiful building. Mercure Leeds Parkway is a beautiful Tudor building with a backdrop of Golden Acre Park. It has gorgeous gardens and a gazebo for your wedding photos. Beautiful!
2. Leeds
Another great venue space in Leeds is the Met Hotel. The historic venue opened in the 1800s and has a really flexible, grand reception room to dance the night away in. They can cater for large parties of up to 200 and smaller, more intimate weddings too. There are also 120 rooms to accommodate guests!
3. Wakefield
Wakefield is just five miles out of Leeds and filled with fantastic wedding venues. One of our favourites is Hatfield Hall, an 18th century with sweeping driveway, plenty of privacy and seclusion whilst being just outside of the big city. Make sure to check out their supplier page as Hatfield often hosts wedding showcase evenings!
4. Ossett
Around seven miles from Leeds, you’ll find a lovely little town called Ossett. It’s a beautiful place filled with intriguing buildings. One of those buildings is Dimplewell Lodge, an 18th century Victorian house and award-winning wedding venue. They have some fantastic deals on weddings and plenty to offer from stunning gardens to a bridal cottage with twin bath jacuzzi!
5. Bradford
In Bradford, just 10 miles out of Leeds, you’ll find the Dubrovnik Hotel. It’s a hidden gem and a family, independent hotel. The lavish Corinthian ball room is what we particularly love about this place, holding up to 150 people; plenty of space to throw some shapes! If you’re a smaller party, they can also host intimate 20 people weddings in the restaurant. Another great Bradford wedding venue is the Great Victoria Hotel.
6. Wetherby
The Engine Shed in Wetherby looks like a lot of fun! If you’re wanting a good party, this is a great choice and it’s just 11 miles out of Leeds. It’s a family-run business renowned for its friendly service. Your wedding will only be limited by your own imagination; they’re happy and flexible to host whatever kind of wedding you wish for in their beautiful space.
7. Bingley
In Bingley, we’re recommending another Mercure hotel – Bankfield Hotel. It sits on the banks of the River Aire and features eight acres of picturesque grounds. The ballroom can accommodate 245 guests with even more space in the Park Suite for another 140! They can also offer outdoor ceremonies as an option. Just visit their supplier page!
8. Pontefract
12 miles away in Pontefract – a very beautiful place – you’ll find Kings Croft Hotel. This venue is really unique in the way that you can have your wedding in a beautiful outdoor pavilion. There are four function rooms in the main hotel with a total capacity for a whopping 400 people. Packages start from as little as £2,950.
9. Ilkley
A wedding at the Craiglands Hotel, a Victorian manor house set in woodland and landscaped grounds in the spa town of Ilkley is like a wedding in a fairytale. It’s a picturesque wedding destination and it’s only minutes out of Leeds busy centre.
10. Huddersfield
Our final venue in the Leeds area is Storthes Hall Park (although there are plenty more to see here!). This historic stately home offers bespoke wedding packages allowing you to have the wedding of your dreams in this really customisable space. There’s an enormous capacity – 500! – making it a great venue for big Asian weddings.
