August’s Top Five Wedding Venue Picks

As we head into August, we’re looking at wedding venues, and these are some of our favourites and most unique. It would be a dream to marry in these locations, but which one would be your dream? Tell us in the comments!
1. City Chic

If you’re a Londoner and want to get married with a skyscraper view, the perfect venue to do it would be the Gherkin. It’s one of London’s most famous buildings and you and your guests can have the top two floors at your disposal. It’s 30 St Mary Axe, and prices start from around £5,000 + VAT. Highlight: The panoramic view of London.

2. Rock ‘n’ Roll

If you do like to be beside the seaside, get hitched at the Royal Pavilion in Brighton. It’s an iconic pavilion, really unique, built for the Prince Regent who later became King George IV. Prices start from around £600+ Highlight: Hire includes use of the famous music rooms of the pavilion.

3. Pretty in Pink

If you have a way with words, recite your vows at Wordsworth House in Cumbria. It’s owned by the National Trust and poet William Wordsworth was born here. Prices start from around £600+. Highlight: The ceremony comes with a complimentary harpischord player.

4. Lords & Ladies

Highclere Castle is actually a wedding venue too (the property used for the series of Downton Abbey). It’s also in a perfect location not far from London and easy access to main roads. This is the perfect location if you have family all over the country, although it is slightly pricy…you can marry here for £15,000+. Highlight: You get complete rule of the house and grounds.

5. Jurassic Wedding

Yes. You can get married at the Natural History Museum in London. This is a dream come true to many couples, perhaps you have childhood memories here, perhaps you’re geeks at heart, but either way, this would be one fun wedding. You get exclusive access to the Central Hall and upper galleries. Of course, it does cost an arm and a leg; get hitched for £17,000+! Highlight: Dinosaurs.
